Challenge
To take over the entire new feature development, maintenance and sustenance of an HMI product line with minimal disruption and use of the customer's engineering time.

Solution
SoftDEL put together an efficient structure to work together with the customer's engineering team. The scope, transition, release management and overall project management for the product line was effectively transitioned to the SoftDEL offshore team led by SoftDEL onsite coordinators.
SoftDEL manages new feature development, bug-fixes, general testing and maintenance. The entire product release is jointly managed by SoftDEL and the customer.

Impact
SoftDEL initially started with a small onsite team which transitioned the first product line within 6 months. Over the past three years, 2 complete product lines are being handled by SoftDEL, a third product line around embedded hardware and firmware is in process of being transitioned following the success of the HMI based lines.
This has freed up critical customer resources to focus on the next innovative product concept, thus resulting in improving productivity for the customer's engineering spend.
