The customer aimed to enhance product security with advanced anti-theft mechanisms. They wanted improvements in their theft detection algorithms, and the development and maintenance of a next-generation RFID-based electronic article surveillance system to reduce service/maintenance costs. - Softdel set up an Offshore Development Center (ODC) by leveraging our highly competent and qualified talent pool for software development, and our well-equipped secure infrastructure for testing.
- Our dedicated team of experts collaborated with the customer's R&D team, ensuring active and continuous partnership.
- Softdel designed and developed a comprehensive solution, including the data logger, smart alarm management system, and EAS jammer detection. The solution included development of various components like an integrated direction counter (to keep count of people entering/exiting), a dial out with PPP (to transfer data), a software watchdog (to log any exceptions or deadlocks), and a modem dial-in (to access systems remotely).
- The solution was also integrated with metal detection, ad panels, management information systems (MIS), and most importantly, RFID.
- Additionally, Softdel incorporated support for remote firmware upgrades, enabling convenience for future updates and enhancements.
- Leveraging our robust in-house testing capabilities, Softdel established an extensive hardware test setup, empowering the customer to perform offshore and remote testing functions effectively.
